Manage Firmware

(Radio Management Client - RMC)

The Manage Firmware feature allows you to view the current versions of firmware stored in the RM Server, and to manually import new versions of firmware to the RM Server (see the "Import Firmware" feature below). Firmware upgrades will include upgrading the radio’s Secure Encryption Module’s firmware also known as "MACE" when needed (see feature below).

To access this feature:

From the Radio Management Client, click the Actions Button, and then from the Actions Menu select "Manage" è "Firmware".

Template firmware upgrades and template FLASHport Feature Set Upgrades are initiated from the Right-Click Menu's "Upgrade" selections.

DEFINITIONS:

Firmware Name

Allows you to view-only the name of all available firmware versions.

Firmware Version

Allows you to view-only the version number of all available firmware versions.

Size

Allows you to view-only the file size of all firmware versions.

Imported Date

Allows you to view-only the actual Date and Time that all firmware versions were imported.

Model

Allows you to view-only the of all firmware versions: Portable or Mobile.

MACE

Allows you to view-only the Motorola Advanced Cryptographic Engine (MACE) module version of each firmware file.

In Use (Radios)

Allows you to view-only the number of radios using each firmware file.

Comments

Allows you to add comments on a per firmware file basis.

Import Firmware

Clicking the "Import Firmware" button opens the "Import Firmware" window allowing you to browse-to and import a .CVN Firmware Upgrade File(s).
Highlight the appropriate file(s) and then click the "Open" button to import the firmware file(s).
